Classmates
I’m sending this email to inform you of an opportunity to establish a permanent memorial to our friend and classmate, Carl Tamulevich. The Navy Academy Athletic Association has plans to construct a new lacrosse facility located adjacent to the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. A draft rendering of the new facility is attached. This project, slated for completion within the next two years, presents our class with a range of options to honor Carl’s accomplishments as a remarkable athlete and as the sports administrator for men’s lacrosse throughout most of his three plus decades with the Naval Academy Athletic Association. A list of opportunities to dedicate rooms and equipment in the facility is being prepared and will be published early next year. It is expected the dedications will require funding commitments beginning at $250K and ranging upward into seven figures. For now, I’m asking you to agree that a dedication in memory of Carl is a worthy undertaking for our class. I’m also asking those of you who might be willing to commit to donations of $10K or more over a five-year period to please let us know (privately and without commitment) as soon as possible, but not later than January 15. You can send your replies to either myself (gastorm@verizon.net), Bill Ober (wtober2@gmail.com), Mike Mullen (moonmullen13@gmail.com) or Tom Teach (tateach13@gmail.com).
More details to follow as things firm up.
Thank You and Happy Holidays.
